History
In January 1970, Jack decided to start his own Locksmith business. With an initial investment of $2500.00, he went to Potomac Bank and was given credit, by the late William Ritter, V.P., to purchase a new locksmith service van.

At this time, Bonnie was raising 4 children. She worked as the resident manager at Grandview Apartments in Baileys X Roads. She was receiving a small salary and a free apartment. Mr. Abe Wagman, head of the management company allowed Bonnie to put a phone in her office to answer locksmith calls for Jack while she worked.

The first major account was Weaver Brothers, a Real Estate and Management Company. In October 1970, Jack was financially able to open his first shop location. Our first official address was 3425 Payne Street, Falls Church, Virginia 22041. Bonnie came to work fulltime in February 1971. In January 1973, Jack hired Bill Swaner, who remained employed until June 1990.

The Hardy children were growing up. Jack Jr. at 12 years old worked after school helping Bill in the shop. Eventually, Jim & John joined the company as apprentice locksmiths in the late 1970's, gradually becoming master locksmiths by the 1980's. Soon after Jim & John starting working, Tina would join the family as John's wife and front counter office manager.

Today, we're 16 employees strong and growing. We are a full service locksmith company. Our locksmith experience ranges from 5 years to 35 years. We have access control system, CCTV system, and safe specialists. At our store location, we have an 850 sq. ft. showroom with all different models of safes ready for delivery and a wide variety of locks on display and in stock. Our knowledgeable front counter manager, Daren Nester and Office Manager Bob Adams are available to assist you with your every security need.

The second generation of Hardy's continues to work here. John Hardy is General Manager. Jim is Sales Director and manages the major projects for the company. Tina is the Accounting Manager.
